Met Gala 101: Your guide to the hottest fashion party of the year
For my content creation course, I researched, scripted, and filmed a short video essay on YouTube discussing the Met Gala ahead of the May 2025 event. This video includes a short history of the Met Gala, how a theme is selected, and explains the theme in more detail. To edit this video essay, I utilized the software CapCut.
We really need to talk about K-pop's anti-Blackness...
In this video essay I discuss K-Pop's origins as well as its connections to Black culture and how the industry typically disrespects African Americans through cultural appropriation, using racial slurs, and not crediting or underpaying Black producers and songwriters following a slew of artists being caught up in controversies about their anti-Blackness. To edit this video I used the editing software CapCut and I did all of the research and scripting for the video myself.
Why I Love the Sims 4 (commentary + gameplay!)
This livestream showcases EA's Sims 4 including a brief overview of what the game is, why I personally enjoy the game, some qualms I have with the game, and my own gameplay. I showcase the customization aspects of the Sims 4 through Create a Sim, cheats, birthdays, jobs, and choosing traits for the characters in game to enhance gameplay aspects.
